Upcoming Events

Redemption in the Era of Mass Incarceration

On Sunday, June 2, at 12 noon in the sanctuary, Dr. Nicole Van Cleve (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Criminology, Temple) will lead a presentation and discussion on the issue of mass incarceration. She will discuss the ever-expanding prison system in the United States, how people's lives are affected by incarceration, and how this system has taken a harsh turn away from "redemption,"as we understand it in the Church. All are welcome.

New Bible Study on the Book of James

Martin Luther disliked the Book of James so much that he famously called it "an epistle of straw." Come find out why this brief New Testament letter has aroused such passionate feelings and also what it might say to you in your own contemporary faith journey.

The first meeting of this 8 week Bible study will take place on Thursday, May 23 at 7pm in the Duffield Room, and will continue to meet at the same time every Thursday night until the end of the study. All are welcome and encouraged to come! All sessions will be led by Pastor Ferris.

12 Months of Mission

The Old Pine Community Center (OPCC) celebrates 35 years of Building Better Communities this year.  In honor of this milestone, we are launching the "12 Months of Mission" program.  Each month the church will partner with the OPCC on a special mission project of support, education or service.
